• "G'day Gayle Just to let you know that we had a great time on the P&O Pacific Sky Cruise. The food was great, the staff were friendly and the entertainment wasn't too bad, all in all a good holiday that we would gladly do again. This is the first time that I have booked a holiday on the net and we were pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything went I would have no hesitation in using Globenet again and would most certainly recommend your company. So thank you for looking after us, have a great Xmas and a happy new year. All the best." Brian & Margaret A., Bli Bli, Australia (20 Dec 04)

• "Hi Zoe, We got back yesterday from Peppers Palm Bay Retrea t on Long Island in the Whitsundays and it was absolutely sensational!! Thank you so much for recommending it, it was sooooo amazing and we had a very relaxing and fun time!!" Lauren M., Sydney, Australia (18 Dec 04)

• "Kylie, Many thanks - We just arrived home and had a great time at the Beach Club, Hamilton Island. They looked after us very well. Thanks for all your help and information. Regards," John D., London, UK (12 Dec 04)

• "Dear Kylie, we've just arrived from DOWN UNDER. It was FANTASTIC !!!!! Your arrangements were exactly the ones we hoped for and everything was all right. We enjoyed Kangaroo Island, and Captain Cook Reef Endeavour Cruise was really lovely. We arrived in Darwin (NT) and visited the following national parks: Kakadu, Katherine Gorge and Litchfield.

In Queensland, after the beautiful cruise to Lizard Island, we went to Undarra : absolutely fantastic! There we saw a lot of wallabies, kangaroos and kookaburra and the Lava Tubes. You can't miss it. Passing from the Atherton Tablelands we went to Daintree and Port Douglas, seeing the great Curtain and Cathedral Fig Trees. We went to Melbourne by plane and we drove on the Great Ocean Road, just to Adelaide. After Kangaroo Island, we took a flight to Ayers Rock (Uluru) to visit the Red Heart of Australia.

Finally we spent our last four days in Sydney, visiting the Tower, the Blue Mountains, the Opera House, the Taronga Zoo and the Aquarium. We'll send you some photos as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your work. We'll suggest your travel agency to all our friends planning a trip in your beautiful land down under. Ciao ciao from Italy." Silvia & Sergio C., Rome, ITALY (10 Dec 04)

• "Hi Tosh, Both Jo-Anne and I had a great time, not that we extended ouselves too much. The trip to Brampton Island was smooth sailing all the way and when we got there we decided to have lunch first before we booked in. It was a great surprise when booking in to be informed of a room upgrade, this was fantastic and everything else was more and more on top.

Jo had her first drive of a jetski and is hooked now, and after a solid run on that we had our massage the following morning and Jo enjoyed hers so much she went back for more. I had a special gift for Jo on our aniversary night (17th) and all the restaurant staff were wonderful in keeping the special gift safe and secure and Jo knew nothing of it until they brought it out after our main coarse. She was surprised to say the least. To sum it up FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

I would like to say that your hand in this was major and I would like to thank you personally for going the extra mile to make this very memorable for both of us. If this is your attitude to your clients then I think Globenet Travel is blessed to have you on board. I really can't say thanks enough. King regards" Shane J., Brisbane, Australia (7 Dec 04)

• "Dear Sonia, Thought you'd like to know that we all had a great time on Hamilton Island. The Palm Terraces accomodation was great. it looked over the beach. The food was great. Now it's back to reality for all of us. Thank you for your prompt and efficient service. regards" Karen B., Glenda N., Jenny & Jack K., Carly & Michell, Deb & Coop, Sydney, Australia (4 Dec 04)

• "Sonia, Our trip was so wonderful. The accommodations were superb. Of course the highlights were the Kewarra Beach Resort (what a heavenly place that is) and The Observatory Hotel in Sydney. The biggest surprise for me was Adelaide. What a delightful small city! And Uluru is the most astounding place. All of your bookings were great and we didn't have any problems. I've taken trips all over the world but this was a special trip for me. I now understand why my husband has been to Australia so many times. Thanks for all of your help. " Karen J., New York, USA (3 Dec 04)

• "Hi Kylie, We had a wonderful trip to Australia. All of the accomodations and travel arrangements went really well at Silky Oaks Lodge, Lizard Island, Four Seasons Sydney & Le Meridien Melbourne. The only thing I would suggest is to let the clients know how much it would be to upgrade at the hotels during the planning process. That way the onus is on the client to choose whatever they want. Overall, you did a great job for us! Thanks, and regards," Jack F., Los Angeles, USA (30 Nov 04)

Hayman Island
Click to enlarge• "Hi Gayle I would like to thank you very much for your help with all the bookings, everything worked out perfectly including the wedding. The travel arrangements were very smooth which surprised me as usually they're a few problems but your work definitely reflects your award. Hayman Island Resor t upgraded us to a Lagoon Room, that was fantastic, luxury all the way! Thanks again, I have attached a picture of the wedding, it was such a beautiful way to get married and would recommend it to anyone! Kind regards" Tarek & Shirley N., Sydney, Australia (1 Dec 04)

• "Dear Gayle, I had a great holiday. The weather was wonderful - unlike Brisbane where there were thunderstorms and flooding rain in my absence. I was well looked after at Lindeman Island and although I expected to share with a stranger in my room, I ended up with it to myself which was nice as I could read or watch TV at night and not worry about disturbing anyone else. There were loads of activities there in which I participated - sailing, swimming, water polo, golf, archery and I even gave the trapeze a try. The other guests were very friendly and I did not lack for company at meal times. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.

It would be a very good resort to recommend to families with teenage children. Loads to do!! The food was exceptional - delicious and well presented and plenty of variety.

The three nights and four days spent on the Windjammer were really wonderful. I got to see many of the islands and snorkelled at a variety of spots on the reef. The guests on board were from Germany, England and Perth and we all got on well together. The scenery and the food were excellent. The multishare cabin was very squashed for room, but I didn't mind as we were only there to sleep. Quite warm at night below deck and I would hesitate to recommend this in the middle of Summer as it would be sweltering by January. This boat was comfortable to travel in - no-one got seasick ( an added bonus!) Also the stinger suits are required from October to April, I think and the risk of stings from box jellyfish or irigangie is another deterrent to travelling there in the hotter months.

Back on the mainland for my last night there, I stayed at the Airlie Beach Organic Bed and Breakfast and could thoroughly recommend this also. Much nicer than a motel and a wonderful view . I would love to return there in the future with my partner, but would probably choose September. Anyway, just wanted to let you know it was a very enjoyable holiday and to thank you for making the bookings and arrangements for me. Thanks," Debbie S., Brisbane Australia (26 Nov 04)

• "Dear Zoe We had a wonderful holiday and have just returned to the UK this morning. The only suggestion that I would get you to advise your clients is that if they are doing the same as we did, to go straight to Dunk Island on arrival in Oz as it is a very long day hanging about the airport etc. Thanks again for your help." Lorraine M., London, UK (29 Nov 04)

• "Hi Tina, Thanks for all your help. Heron Island was beautiful, although the weather (wind) did not cooperate. Alas, after all our efforts to do scuba certification, we could only dive two times (only on Monday) of our five days there. I was disappointing. We had to console ourselves with fruity cocktails and spa treatments. We leave Australia tomorrow...sigh. I will try to remember to send you a photo when I get back." • "Hi Kylie! Peter and I had absolutely the best time we could have imagined on Wilson Island! It was so much fun! Thanks for arranging the 'Isolation' tent for us! It was by far the best tent being right on the snorkelling beach and so secluded! The other great thing about 'isolation' is that the mutton birds don't nest there so we had peaceful sleep each night while most of our fellow campers had to use their ear plugs cause the birds were nesting right underneath them! All we had were beautiful bridal terns watching their nests, butterflies and stacks of turtles nesting each night just on the path infront of our tent which was very exciting!

We had a couple of turtles come up the beach early at sunset drinks which was amazing to watch and by the time we had eaten our dinner they were ready to lay so it was fantastic. I would recommend that any future guests buy a red light torch before they go cause we couldn't go out alone to watch with the big regular torches, they stun the turtles, you can borrow the hosts though (or go at full moon for a good view without artifical light). The stars were amazing from Wilson too, Peter and I couldn't even find the southern cross cause there were so many more other stars up there to confuse us!!! It was beautiful. The food was second to none and there was so much of it! We have never eaten so well before, it was soooo good.

The snorkelling was tough the first two days cause the wind was blowing from the NE which is unusual but on the third day it swung round to the south so we had perfect snorkelling and the highlight.....I was on the beach mid afternoon in front of our tent and saw a massive turtle right in close checking out the beach so I quickly got the snorkelling gear on and swam with her! She was so calm and we just eyeballed each other as we floated along with the current. It was fabulous!!!! (Pete was scared of the reef sharks so he didn't snorkel at all).

Heron Island was OK but really no comparison to Wilson. We had welcome champas in our room and congratulations on the first night which was nice and the final night was even better as we got upgraded to a Beachside Suite which was like a 1 bedroom suite rather than a studio which was sooooo much nicer! They even had music playing in the room when we arrived! It was great. Anyway, all in all a great honeymoon, great weather, great food and great location. Thanks Kylie for all your help in organising it for us. We will definitely go through you for our next holiday, whenever that may be! I don't have the photos with me but will scan one or two on Monday and email them to you. Thanks again,

PS - If anyone is going to Gladstone and driving up but doesn't want to stay right in Gladstone. I highly recommend Agnus Waters. It is about an hour and a half south of Gladstone which works out well with launch times and it is beautiful. We stayed at 'Sunbird Gardens ' which was a self contained villa with BBQ and Spa bath on the balcony $95 a night. FANTASTIC!" Lisa & Peter G., Sydney, Australia (26 Nov 04)

Hayman Island
Click to enlarge• "Zoe, Hayman Island was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Thank you so much for all your help. Our one year anniversary couldnt have gone smoother! The staff on the island were amazing, very friendly. The pool was huge, and the beach, even better! The food was awesome, we had our own butler and waiter for one night to wait on us until we completed our candlelit dinner on our balcony, we felt like royalty.

Scuba Diving was great and we were taken to Whitehaven Beach for a picnic lunch together. Thanks once again Zoe, I will be in touch early in the new year to book another hayman island holiday. You have been a great help. PS. If your wanting a relaxing and exclusive holiday where the only thing you have to worry about is which poolside lounge you are going to be sunbaking on, then Hayman is the place to go. With thanks," Tom & Ana D., Sydney, Australia (25 Nov 04)

• "Hi Zoe, thank you very much for your service. We had a fantastic trip to Long Island. As you had warned us, the Long Island Resort is probably not the most exquisite resort in the Whitsundays, but it is definitely the one that suited us the best.

The trip started with a great and fast transport to the island. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a beachfront room, which we really appreciated. The buffet of the hotel has a big choice of different foods, all very tasty, specially the sea-food on saturday. Delicious... During our stay we indulged in so many of the offered activities, such as tennis, mini-golf, scuba diving, mini-catamaran-sailing etc. The weather in the Whitsundays was also excellent. We can definitely recommend Club Croc for young people as well as for families, it was definitely a great value. Cheers." Ben H., Germany (24 Nov 04)

• "Dear Sali, I wanted to thank you for everything you have done for us since you took over our booking. I am certain that thanks to your excellent service and expertise, we will have a very memorable vacation in Australia.

Since I have been working in the travel business for many years, I know that details are very important, and in this case, you have not missed anything because you have gone through every detail in this booking and made sure that it is done right. Working in international tourism requires flexibility and understanding the client's background, and I must say that you have those qualifications. You were always available and answered all of my questions in a knowledgeable way (even about the jelly fish. . . . ) and I felt that you really care about your clients and are willing to do things that are beyond the regular agency services, for example, assisting me with the booking for the Sydney Opera House.

It was very nice to work with you, and to know that if we ever need you during our visit, you will be there to assist us. I am sorry we can not meet in person, but I feel like I already know you. I wish you and your family a happy new year, and I hope to be working with you again in the future and recommend you to my friends and clients. I will update you upon our return and give you a feedback about the various properties, so you will have it for your records. Best regards" Sarah L., Saratoga, USA (20 Nov 04)

Lady Elliot Island
Click to enlarge• "Hello Zoe, We all agreed that Lady Elliot Island was the best holiday we've ever had. We loved that it was simple and unspoiled. The diving was spectacular, the wildlife memorable and every day an adventure. Full and exciting days combined with peaceful and quiet nights left us all feeling relaxed and rested. We are planning our return trip! Thanks for arranging everything so well, everything went smoothly. I have attached a photo of us all in the water on one of our perfect days." Jenny L. & family, Sydney, Australia (21 Nov 04)

• "Hi, Kylie! I just want to tell you that we enjoyed our visit to Australia, the lodges (Silky Oaks Lodge and Lizard Island), Sydney, and Melbourne were great, enjoyable, rememberable. We loved Sydney and Melbourne, the people and restaurants were fantastic! Thanks for your expertise to plan the trip. We all hope to come back some day! Best regards," Paul L., California, USA (20 Nov 04)

• " Hi Kylie. We could not have been happier with our P&O Pacific Sky Cruise, even though we didn't visit any countries.   I would rather the Starboard engine go on a ship than on a plane.   However the crew could not have been nicer, we received a full refund and a $250. 00 bonus each, ate their food, were entertained for 5 days, had a ball, and people who purchased Duty Free goods onboard the ship, because we didn't visit another country P&O paid the duty.

They even paid the airfares for a couple who were supposed to get married in Port Vila. So they  flew them there to get married   - they were on the same flights you booked us onto.  I could not recommend P&O more highly. We will receive a 25% discount on a future trip, so we will be in contact with you soon. Here are some photos from our trip." Allan V., Townsville, Australia (19 Nov 04)

• "Dear Gayle, Regardless to say, in one word the P&O Pacific Sky was "Sensational". I would recommend anyone to do a cruise like the one we did. With regard to the services you provided us via email {only}, it seems no wonder why, GlobeNet Travel was recently awarded '#1 Travel Agency'. The services you provided us were excellent. Some like me who would not have a lot of time to go into an agency, and wait around to make bookings etc. GlobeNet provides us excellent and incredible quick turn around services with our bookings. The accuracy and follow up was also great. Hundreds of agencies in local downtown Melbourne may not have provided us with the type of service and accuracy give to us by GlobeNet Travel.

I only have one complain, the "food" its too much, the choices were incredible, now we are all a few kgs. heavier and the people to blame is P&O cruises and their fantastic services, entertainment and choice of food. The Cruise Director and her staff were excellent. Nothing was ever too much for the other staff be it in the room service or the dinning areas. Thanks again for your great service and attention to detail, and all the information given to us prior to the cruise. We will send you a few short of our trip soon. kind regards and thanks again for all your help. I will certainly choose to use GlobeNet Travel again for any future holiday plans. Regards," Connie B., Melbourne, Australia (3 Nov 04)
