• "Hi Dinah, Kewarra Beach really is a great resort - the Rooms, Facilities and Park are great! The distance to Cairns is just ok since a public bus trip takes ~1h for AU$6, a trip by cab costs AU$35.

The staff was very friendly, even if things were not optimal from time to time. Breakfast Service (simple fried eggs have been a real "challenge"). The Restaurant is very good but I was quite upset when I was "instructed" I have to make a reservation as a Resort guest.

It seems from time to time masses of asian tourists visit the restaurant by organized bus-trips. In this case I'd expect they have a small contingent of tables for their permanent guests (paying $400/night) or at least tell permanent guests during breakfast, it might become crowded. Nevertheless it is a real nice resort.

Diving with ProDive was also great, the liveaboard was real fun - and everything's well organized and very safe. Attached some pics Best Regards" Claus F., Nussloch, Germany (9 Nov 04)

• "Hi Kylie, Just a note to let you know that we got home safely. The accommodation at The Baiyoke in Bangkok was fabulous & everything went like clockwork. Much thanks to you, we had a lot of fun, met many new friends. My daughter was able to do some diving (scuba) & we shopped until we dropped. Next year we look like heading for Hawaii so I will keep you on email & would love to use you again. Thanks again all the best & Merry Christmas" Anne-Maree J., Port Macquarie, Australia (8 Nov 04)

• "Hi Sali,We had a great trip! Hamilton Island was lovely...blue waters, great weather. The villa was everything we expected and the buggy to drive around the island was a huge hit with our little girl. The biggest decision each day was "the pool or the beach". Snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef was amazing and while a bit expensive, well worth the money. We loved that we could charge anything and everything we purchased on the island (shops, restaurants, tours, activities, etc.) to our room and never have to carry credit cards or cash.

The Clownfish Club for kids was well run, but is a bit limited in the fact that they only let kids come 1 session per day which wasn't really advertised. This wasn't a big deal as we only used it some of the days and there was only one day that our daughter asked to go both sessions. As you know we also considered Lindeman Island and I'm really glad we did not make that choice. I would and have highly recommended Hamilton Island and your company. The reservation process was simple, your advice was very helpful and everything was as, or better than, expected. Thanks again for all the help!" Betsy H., Melbourne, Australia (8 Nov 04)

• "Thank you Jo, We had a wonderful time at Club Med Lindeman. My congratulations to the staff and transportation people. Jetstar was a pleasure, both ways. The staff on the island were so friendly and helpful. We met the “chief” Luke and congratulated him on a good organisation and job well done. Thank you again for a seamless transition, from booking, to achieving a great holiday!" Graeme & Judy P., Cronulla, Australia (5 Nov 04)

• "Hi Kylie, Thank you so much for your booking & your attention to the details. This vacation to Silky Oaks Lodge, Dunk island, Outrigger Hervey Bay & Quay West Suites Sydney was like a fantasy. Everything went according to plan very smoothly. Of course the Gold Coast Indy Race was my favorite thing.

But, putting that aside the best part of the Australia visit was the four days in Longreach. The history, atmosphere and people there moved us. The Outback Tour that you booked was absolutely perfect. We met Alan Smith the tour owner. What a real nice caring & down to earth fellow. I was surprised to hear that they do not get many Americans out there. Must be the best kept secret of Australia. If we were to come back to Australia I would spend more time in Longreach. Regards," Jack H., New York, USA (2 Nov 04)

Daydream Island

Click to enlarge• "Thanks Gayle, All arrangements worked out extremely well thanks to you. Daydream Island was a great experience with plenty to do every day, but it did have its drawbacks which may keep us away in the future. We ate in most restaurants on the island and came to the conclusion that the food and service could have been much better. It is obvious that Daydream Resort employs young staff who are looking for a working holiday which may be convenient for both parties in the short term, but at the expense of service and quality to the customers. Apart from that it was great.

Hamilton Island was a different story all together. It offered much more choice for accommodation, eating, shopping, activities etc. The holiday apartments were very spacious and comfortable. Also good to have a kitchen for the odd home cooked meal when you want a break from eating out. The only negative I could think of was that there were plenty of people using the pools which made finding a deck chair difficult. All the rest was great. The golf buggy transport is novel too, although you don’t need it if you can put up with a little walking. I would recommend to anyone a trip to the Whitsundays. It is a little expensive compared to some over seas destinations, but it is well worth it. Especially when you do a day trip to the reef and see what the fuss is all about. We look forward to the next trip up there as soon as we can afford it, and will be in touch with you for your service. Regards" Brett S., Melbourne, Australia (1 Nov 04)

• "Hi Tina, Hayman Island was absolutely fantastic, accomodation and food was just great - It's paradise! We're planning to go back next year. Thanks for organising the holiday for us. I'll be in touch when we're ready to go again. Regards," Mark L., Sydney, Australia (27 Oct 04)

Club Med Lindeman Island
Click to enlarge• "Hello Rene...., I wish to thank you for your assistance with booking our holiday. Everything went smoothly and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. I would highly recommend a Lindeman island holiday to any family with young kids. The activities for the kids are great, especially the shows in the evening. The staff on the island are extremely helpfull and friendly. The food was sensatinal, such a variety for all meals. We will definitely return to Lindeman Island. Please advise me of any specials you have in relation to Lindeman Island" Mark W., Sydney, Australia (26 Oct 04)

• "Hello Zoe, Our trip was FANTASTIC. The weather was great, the accom was great and Club Med Lindeman was the best. It was great to have all the transfers organised so it was hassle free, the only thing which we didn't know was when we left Shute Harbour for Club Med we weren't told that we had to check in our bags at the desk at Hamilton Island so we had the poor girl from Club Med running around trying to tie up numbers but in the end it was quickly solved. I did mention to the girl that we weren't informed by the ladies from Fantasea and she said it has happened before (too many times). I will send a photo by email and would love to receive the specials. Thanks again for all your help." Debra K., Sydney, Australia (26 Oct 04)

• "Zoe, Here's a few smaller, edited pics of Heron Island. Thanks for making arrangements that gave us such a good time. I've recommended you to a couple of friends for their Aussie visit." Bill S., Jakarta, Indonesia (25 Oct 04)

• "Hi Zoe, The holiday was excellent and I think we will be back at Orpheus Island regularly (provided our bank balance will sustain it). I will organise some pictures and a bit more detail about our experiences when time permits. Regards" Brett D., Canberra, Australia (20 Oct 04)

• "Dear Zoe, We were delighted with the arrangements you made for us at Heron Island, and Mrs. M particularly appreciated the additional arrangements you made for her to go visiting on the Gold Coast. We found Globenet Travel very easy to deal with, in spite of difficulties with the Indonesian telephone service. (Imagine how it is when the rains begin.) All arrangements and reservations were fulfilled without any problems.

The trip to Heron Island was just what we wanted, very beautiful and relaxing. We had read in reviews over the internet that guests were required to keep to the same table each evening, but this turned out not to be the case.Heron Island
Click to enlargeThe Noddy Terns were nesting during our time there, and were a bit raucous at times, but the management helpfully supplied earplugs to all guests. The diving and snorkeling opportunities were superb, the food was plentiful and well prepared, and the staff was cheerful. We appreciated the fact that there were no charges for "extras" such as ice for the room, use of the laundry facilities, talks and guided walks on the reef and through the pisonia forest. The semisubmersible sightseeing trip outside the reef was a big hit, as well.

Thank you for your very professional assistance, Zoe. We shall keep Globenet Travel on our internet favorites list. Photo attached for your testimonial board. Cordially," Suzanne S., Jakarta, Indonesia (19 Oct 04)

• "Dear Zoe, Thanks for the arrangements you did for me for our holiday to Hamilton Island. Everything went really smoothly and we did have a really great time. It definitely was worth having the superior room at the Whitsunday Apartments - very roomy and the divan worked well for our 2 year old. Overall first impressions of the Apartment were good, but on closer inspection several fittings are quite dated.

We did have some difficulties with getting the room serviced in the morning (it is done between 2pm - 5pm). The need to have our room free for our son to have the afternoon sleep meant that occasionally we did miss out on the service and when we asked for the cleaning to be done in the morning they did not seem to be capable of going outside the routine to meet our particular needs. By our last full day there we did finally succeed in getting morning cleaning! Possibly not being parents themselves they did not understand the importance of this sleep time! We would definitely stay again though and would recommend Globenet to anyone wanting to book online. Thanks again" Helen B., Melbourne, Australia (19 Oct 04)

• "Sonia...., The trip to the Sebel Noosa and Hayman island was beyond my expectations!! Chris and I had a wonderful time. I promise to share some pictures when we get them downloaded. Your help and patience on helping to plan the trip were really appreciated. No rain the entire 2 weeks." Kelly C., Los Angeles, USA (19 Oct 04)

• "Dear Zoe, We had a fantastic break – not long enough. Never are! Thank you for all you help. Only glitch we had was the Shute Harbour transfer had not been told that our flight was delayed from Sydney, so the last ferry had already left. But they quickly organized for an extended trip on another. So all was fine.

Hamilton Island was great. Just for feed back, the only staff who I found lacking were the reception staff. None seemed happy to be there, and with probably only one exception, none were happy to help you. You may want to pass that on. But other wise it was fabulous and again, Thanks. PS. The Whitsunday Apartments room was fine- even for an Interior Designer, sometimes its good not to be in that mind set." Anna D., Woolloomooloo, Australia (16 Oct 04)

Heron Island
Click to enlarge• "Kylie, We've been wanting to thank you for the perfect itinerary you put together for us for our Australian tour in August-September (Sydney-Top End-Heron Island ). All the arrangements were superb - hotels, cars, cruises, and, of course, Heron Island was a ideal way to end our visit to your magnificent part of the world. I met a fine musician - singer-songwriter-guitarist extraordinaire (he had the gig in the bar at Heron) and we played quite a bit of music together - an unexpected treat for me!

All in all we were amazed by the variety of wildlife and landscape - people were wonderful too! I've attached a little fish photo ( we rented a little underwater digital camera on Heron and had a lot of fun with it). We'll certainly keep you in mind if we ever visit again. Very Best Regards " James T., California, USA (15 Oct 04)

• "Dear Kylie, We are back home safe and sound. Just wanted to let you know that everything went well and all the arrangements You made for us were wonderful. The apartment in Tuscany “Castella VicchioMaggio” was absolutely wonderful. It was huge ( we had a chandelier in the bedroom) the views were to die for and the people lovely. We had a wonderful week there, a Tuscan banquet, and tour of the vineyards and winery.

The town of Greve was lovely and I can only say that you should send anyone wanting to stay in Tuscany there. The B & B in Pastena was also great, the owners very friendly and helpful. They introduced us to Limincello the local brew (homemade). We thought you might like this information for future reference. Once again thank you very, very much. Our friends may email you as they loved the place too and want to go back. " Colleen S., Brisbane, Australia (14 Oct 04)

• "Hi Zoe, We had a wonderful week, with everything falling into place very well. We loved north Queensland, and can’t wait to return. Dunk Island resort was terrific, my only negative comment would be that the buildings and resort in general look a little tired and old, and that the day trippers to the jetty disturb the island atmosphere a bit, but otherwise it is a beautiful island and we enjoyed it very much. We also had a wonderful day trip out from Cairns snorkeling on the outer reef which was a total highlight. Many thanks for you patient assistance. " Leith R., Melbourne, Australia (7 Oct 04)

• "Hi Gayle, What a fantastic trip we had! Thank you for all your help in arranging the cruise and all the other accommodations. Your insight and recommendations were most helpful.

We enjoyed the Captain Cook Reef Endeavour cruise – the food was great and the crew members were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Although the weather was a little choppy and it was a fairly rocky ride the first couple of days, that was soon overshadowed on the last day of our 4 day cruise when we snorkeled Ribbon Reef No. 5 (an unforgettable experience).

Silky Oaks Lodge was an excellent follow-up to the cruise. The resort is first class in everyway and a perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the Daintree and Cape Tribulation tour you included in our package. Although it was hard to compete with the ambiance and serenity we experienced at Silky Oaks, we did enjoy being on the beach for a few days on the final leg of our journey when we stayed at the Sebel Reef House in Palm Cove. It’s a lovely resort and the beaches are beautiful. My only regret is that we couldn’t spend more time in your amazing country. We’ll just have to plan on another visit before too long and when we do, I’ll certainly call on you to help with our plans. " Lynn W., Missouri, USA (6 Oct 04)
