Dear Zoe, It was a very pleasant stay at
Hamilton Island. Everything was very nice, but it's not so complicated because the place is so wonderful. I plan to go back to Australia next year so you can be sure that I will get in touch with you to book some resorts. Pls find enclosed some pictures of the island. Thanks again for everything." Corinne S., Shanghai, China (9 Jan 06)

Kylie, Just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time at
Outrigger Salt. The resort was great, we had an ocean view from our room. My only complaint would be not enough shade around the pool but maybe that will change before we go back again. Really beautiful position and lots to do around you if you want to make the effort or just do nothing. We did both." Desley H., Brisbane, Australia (9 Jan 06)

Elisabete, We had a wonderful time and and everything worked out great. Thanks for your help in putting the reservation @

Hi Lynette, We had a fantastic time on our
Pacific Sun Christmas Cruise - I think we are now "hooked" and are already saving madly and thinking about another one sometime in the future! I can hardly fault anything on the cruise - I suppose the only thing we didn't realise was that this was a real "family" cruise and that 25% of the passengers were children!
However, this did not impact on our enjoyment at all - we managed to totally relax. And somehow or other, we managed to get assigned to the Captains table for dinner - this was a huge surprise - and he and his wife were lovely people! BTW - we were really lucky with our "Ships Option" cabin, as we managed to get allocated mid-ship on Level 7 (Empress Deck) which we were very happy about.
I would also like to express my appreciation for the professional manner in which you took care of our booking. You honestly made it very easy for us and everything happened just as you said it would! I have attached 2 holiday photo's as follows: Alan and I at the 1st formal dinner Our dinner table (notice the Captain sitting next to me!) So, Thanks very much for your help!" Hi Elisabete, The trip to
Quay West Resort Bunker Bay was fabulous, just what my new husband & I needed after a chaotic two week lead up to our wedding on the 16/12. The trip to Bunker bay was a quick honeymoon before Christmas.
There were no dramas what so ever & we had a great room and just love the venue and everything about the place, tis a pity the real estate in the area is so expensive! a holiday home would be just the best! Many thanks for your assistance and I will definitely be browsing your website when needing a bit of 'luxury downunder'!!!!" Melissa K., Perth, Australia (3 Jan 06)

Hello Lynette, The
Pacific Princess cruise was good and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our cabin was lovely and it made such a difference having a balcony. We had a bit of excitement throughout the holiday as there were quite a few elderly passengers on board and we had to turn around and head back to the Heads after about 1 hour as some passengers had been taken ill and the Pilot boat had to take them off.
The following day were well at sea when we had to turn around again and traveled back for about 4 hours so 2 passengers could be airlifted off by helicopter. We had a view of the whole thing from our balcony and all I can say is the crew on board and the helicopter and paramedic teams did a marvelous job.
Obviously for safety reasons the pool area and top cabins were vacated but we were kept well informed of everything that was going on by the Captain. We made a lot of time up in the night so we only lost ½ a day at one of the islands. I would like to thank you again for all the help during our booking..." Judith C., NSW, Australia (2 Jan 06)

Sonia, The accommodations were wonderful except one. We loved the
Hilton in Melbourne and
the Oaks in Adelaide. The tour was great. We were the only Americans and had fun with everyone, especially a couple of Kiwis.
Our only downside was
the Outrigger Heritage in Port Douglas. Planes were late and we arrived at 1:30 AM. Security let us into a small, dingy room so small we could not set our suitcases down. It strongly smelled of smoke. Next morning we asked to move. They were full but accommodated us next door at
the Outrigger in the Village. Rooms were new and twice as big. Check whether your clients want a big pool and if not, send them to this hotel. It is much nicer. They gave us a one bedroom for one night and a hotel room for two. Both were very nice.
Here are some photos. Three are from
the Wildlife Sanctuary in Port Douglas and two are from
the Great Ocean Road. Thanks for your help. We will contact you again" Pam H., Los Angeles, USA (28 Dec 05)

Hi Sali, Our east coast island hopping was fantastic. Thank you so much for booking the accommodation, your service provided was excellent & we have already recommended GlobeNet Travel to several other people. Our trip highlight was
Wilson Island, it was heaven & there was only 1 other couple there with us.
Great Keppel - lovely beaches & rugged island, accommodation/cleanliness very average....but I think they are trying to improve it, however it was cheap.
Dunk Island - we love everything about Dunk, jungle walks, quiet beaches, afternoon storms, excellent service & luxury accomm.
Brampton Island - we loved it almost as much as Dunk, unfortunately the staff weren't as efficient, we think the reception staff were not cut out for their job.
Hamilton Island - We had a spare night, so we popped in, it felt like the Gold Coast on an island after being on the other islands.
Heron Island - birds & birds & more birds...lots of international guests.
Wilson, our dream island, wonderful host couple, amazing wildlife pristine beaches, a very special place. All the islands had their own point of difference, it was interesting to compare them.
We had a fantastic 4 weeks, everything ran very smoothly, next year we are doing central australia..although tempted to go back to some of those islands first chance we get... Thanks again Sali" Christina & Rod L., Melbourne, Australia (27 Dec 05)

Dear Tina, The arrival at Cairns was delayed due to mechanical fault which was fixed in Darwin!! Journey mercies!!!
Kewarra Resor t Desk mixed up the transfer to the Airport on departure claiming that we had arranged our own transfer - thank goodness we had the intinerary prepared by you on Quantas letter head to proof to them otherwise ! There was a reason/s why we requested the same!
Hinchinbrook strength lies in 2 areas:-
1) the staff esp the chef Jeff King who spiced up everyones life with his cooking and jovial mannerism together with their transient worker Matt and wife who was most helpful [though the management mess up the snorkelling trip and did not get to go and which was our principal purpose of going to the island though we informed them the very day we arrived of our intention - no worries though;] and
2) the natural heritage of the island. The state of maintainance of the room is very very tired. The island has lots of potential compared even with Heron whose facilities are very much better and if only Hinchinbrook upgrade the same, it should overtake many resorts for eco-tourism FOR SURE!
Angsana is ok but
Palm Cove on the whole is nice - small and quiet and that is what Caroline and I love most - can even retire there if we foreigners can purchase a unit there??? Strength lies in its good planning and uncluttered roads! Yes because this is our first trip to Cairns, we will be going back there for more again in November 2006 and you should be hearing from us again and giving you loads of headaches!!!!!" Philip C., Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (21 Dec 05)

Dear Moniqua, Everything went very well - no hiccups and we enjoyed
Hamilton island best, mainly because you could vary the food from different restaurants rather than one same menu from
Long Island. We will definitely need two rooms next time in Long Island. We enjoyed the very relaxed atmosphere and fewer people on Long Island however their pools were too warm, however all in all we had a very good holiday and thankyou very much for all your help in such short notice.!!" Hi Sali, We had a great time,
Lady Elliott Island was everything we hoped and we are planning to revisit Jan 07. We can’t thank you enough for your assistance with our booking. Hi Moniqua, The offsite event at
Peppers Guest House was a tremendous success. The venue, the setting overall, the facilities and mostly the staff were all wonderful, and definitely contributed to the overall success of the event.
I would gladly endorse both GlobeNet Travel for assisting me in the upfront planning, as well as Peppers for the more detailed planning and execution. Attached is a photo of the team (taken at a final dinner at
Audrey Wilkinson wine estate), and a few "fun shots" from one of our dinners. " Barbara B., New York, USA (15 Dec 05) 2bb1_sm.jpg

Dear Gayle, We had a lovely time on the
P & O Pacific Sun which departed Sydney on 29th October. We found the room quite adequate for the 5 of us, Jackson loved the kids' club and our other two loved the pool slide and we bought too much art work at the art auctions! Many thanks for your excellent service." Rosanna C., Sydney, Australia (15 Dec 05)

Hi Gayle, The cruise on the
Pacific Princess was excellent. When we left we had some bad weather on Friday and both my husband and I got a bit sick. If we took the seasick tablets straightaway before we left we would have been fine. Other than that everything was so good.
The cabin was excellent, food glorious food, entertainment good and everthing else good. We made lots of friends as you meet different people at breakfast and lunch time. The other two couples that we shared the table with for dinner, were very good too. Definitely we will be cruising again and we saw the difference on cruising on a smaller ship than we cruised before.
As there weren't as many people on board we met people over and over again and it becomes more friendly atmosphere. The two gala dinners were excellent. On the 6th December we celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary and I'm sure we're going to remember it for a long time. Gayle thanks again for all you help and I've already recommended you to some people on the ship and some of my other friends." Monica D., Sydney, Australia (13 Dec 05)

Hi Zoe, Heron Island was certainly very special. The wildlife was terrific, saw a number of Green turtles laying eggs. I think holiday makers need to be more aware during the time when the turtles are laying not to use torchlight on the beaches at night as it can disturb the turtles.
The food was great, especially the seafood night on Saturday evening. End of November was a great time, the water was warm enough to swim, and very clear, and the turtles were out laying eggs. Weather was terrific, I was very fortunate that there was very little wind, making diving and snorkelling exceptional. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend Heron Island as a place where people can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, wildlife and terrific snorkelling diving opportunities." Lyn E., Sydney, Australia (13 Dec 05)

Hi Gail, We had the most wonderful holiday. The
Pacific Princess was such a beautiful ship and the service and food top class. As it had only about 620 passengers We seemed to know everyone by the end of the trip. Our stateroom was spacious and so comfortable and our steward Eden couldn't do anough for us.
We are bridge players and were fortunate to find a group from Adelaide who were with a teacher and were able to take part in their duplicate games when we wanted to. I will sort out our photos and post you the best picture of us and our friends. Hope we will be in touch again. Regards and thank you for arranging it for us and also the wonderful price." Dear Gayle, We had a wonderful holiday, I loved
Heron Island. Spent most of the time in the water, snorkelling and admiring the reef and fish. We also went on the submersible boat, did a reef walk, snokelling to the outer reef, sunset cruise, and turtle walk - where we saw the turtles crawling up the sand and digging a nest and laying their eggs - very thrilling. Ian also went on a fishing trip.
We found the food delicious, enjoyed the bird life - which you could not avoid as they were nesting outside our unit. The unit also had an ocean view - delightful, love the colours of the ocean. We also found the staff very helpful - particularly Mel, Sarah - informative excursions, Shari - boutique, Jarryd - submersible & fishing, Callan & Rebecca - Shearwater Restaurant. So we were very well looked after. I would go back there tomorrow." Gail M., Perth, Australia (12 Dec 05)

Hi Lynette, Everything went smoothly thanks to your efforts.
Tropical North Queensland has won us as fans.
Palm Cove is just beautiful and there are some great restaurants I wanted to buy an apartment after 2 days.
The
Angsana Resort & Spa was all I expected. The one bedroom apartment was extremely spacious & well appointed. It had two bathrooms, enormous living area, full kitchen & laundry with Miele appliances etc. You should have no hesitation recommending it to clients. The spa was wonderful. All the therapists being trained at the Banyan Tree. Graeme & I enjoyed a relaxing few hours there. Graeme had fun at the local art galleries and we bought 4 new paintings which have just been delivered and look just as great now they are hung on the wall at home.
We might try the
Sea Temple next time we visit, only because it is newer & the pool area is more spacious.
Daintree Eco Lodge was also a great experience. The rainforest is exquisite. Let’s hope it stays that way. They upgraded us to a Spa Villa & a complimentary ½ hr massage. The villa’s décor is a bit tired, which was especially noticeable after coming directly from the Angsana, but the resort’s luxury location is worth the star rating.
The restaurant at the lodge is first class and all staff were delightful. The spa there is also recommended, different products & approach, but equally relaxing and enjoyable. We are hoping to get back there next year... and have no hesitation in using your services for any travel bookings, even though you are on the other side of the country. Thanks again for all your assistance when things when awry. Have a great festive season." Christine and Graeme S., Perth, Australia (12 Dec 05)

Dear Gayle, Just to let you know, my parents had a wonderful cruise on the
Pacific Princess - they said they could not fault anything about the ship and its service. The food was fantastic, their cabin was fantastic, the service was fantastic, the staff were fantastic and they met fantastic people. So thank you for your assistance with organising their trip." Natalie T., Canberra, Australia (12 Dec 05)

Hi Elisabete, Thanks we had an amazing time on the trip and would definitely recommend
the Beach Club on Hamilton Island to others. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and took care of all our needs. The facilities were very nice and well beyond our expectations. Everything that was described to us through the website or through yourself was accurate or better than described. We were extremely pleased with everything.
I would definitely recommend the reef trip, the
Denison Star dinner cruise and Whithaven Beach to anyone that goes and a dinner at the beach club that had one of the best meals we had while there." Lloyd G., California, USA (12 Dec 05)

Hi Zoe, Thanks for arranging the trip for us. The properties we stayed at all had their own individual charm.
Peppers Palm Bay was lovely and relaxing, the food was pretty good, and as there is only really the one restaurant it is worth including dinner in your package. The food was fresh and there was always a choice of three items for each course. The staff were generally lovely and it was a good place to relax. I would recommend it to overseas guests as there are a lot of wallabies that graze on the lawn at dusk and all over the place on bush walks as well as a few interesting birds and geckos.... I recommend Peppers Palm Bay generally, especially for the price but don't expect anything out of the ordinary.
The Beach Club at Hamilton Island was very good. The pool was fantastic and the staff great, as was the breakfast. The chauffer driven buggy to wherever you want to go on the island 24 hours was great and all restaurants etc call the Beach Club for you to arrange your pick up. The vouchers for the sunset cruise and Beach House dinner were a waste of time and money as they were not available on any nights we were there and we had to upgrade to a dinner cruise and go to Beach Club instead at major surcharges and I really wish we had not bothered. The dinner cruise had very good food.
Beach Club is nice for food but we would have been better off doing our own thing as they did not present us with a bill and when we checked out we just had all these additional charges from our dinner despite not seeing any breakdown. It may be Ok if you are there a week as the services may be available then, but for a short stay it is just frustrating to include services which were not available, especially as we ended up spending more money than if we had done our own thing and were doing things we didn't especially want to do. Beach Club is a nice property but not really 5 star, maybe 4.
Hayman Island was lovely. We had a helicopter transfer which was brilliant and the launch transfer on the way there was pretty good too, champagne and nice snacks made the trip feel part of the holiday and we were already given keys on the launch so could go straight to our room. A very smooth check in and transfer.
The restaurants were pretty good. The Hayman pool is fantastic as is the service and facilities. There were a few too many kids but generally the place was brilliant. The buildings are a little dated but the rooms have been refurbished, the spa was fantastic, we really enjoyed sailing, their water sports were good and La Fontaine, their silver service restaurant was worth the splurge, but keep an eye on the drinks they serve you as ours were not what we ordered and were always more expensive.
Unfortunately there was a small fire the night we dined at
La Fontaine (a candle/lamp was set alight) and so we ended up with ash in our drinks which were not replaced, which at $19 a glass of wine was disappointing...
The degustation menu was fantastic, the staff very helpful and a great wine list. There are lots of different services including a welcome talk telling you about facilities, kitchen tours, massive cocktails at the Plantation lounge, a cinema with free popcorn and a huge pool table and nice club lounge. The chocolates are stored in a chocolate rooms and are fantastic.
Hayman was definitely the most up market, with prices to match, Peppers the most relaxed and Hamilton an island for all tastes and budgets. On the whole we had a fantastic time. The properties were far from the opulence of some of the overseas properties we have stayed at but the laid back yet professional manner of the Australian staff was good and the gorgeous reef and Whitehaven Beach made this well worth a trip."
