Dear Kylie, Here is some information on the Queensland trip: as far as arrangements, everything went perfectly and everything that was programmed happened according to plans.
Lizard Island was great : we enjoyed the atmosphere : very personnal but casual at the same time. The food was very good and the reef superb, finally we saw some live coral.. The
Anchor Bay Suite was superb, well decorated, large, very confortable and luxurious. I would love to return, although it is extremely expensive.
Of course after that a "normal although luxurious hotel" is a let down though the
Kewarra Beach Resort is magnificiently located in a rain forest. As far as the rest of the trip which you did not organize it didn't go that well.
You will find two photos included : one of the big lizard which came to drink water out of the giant clam which is at the foot of the room terrace so we can clean our feet from the sand before entering our room, the other photo is to show that when one takes a dingy one has a whole beach to oneself... the Governor's Lodge on
Norfolk Island (although I was a bit surprised at the "average age" of each visitor .... about 75 I reckon!!!) .... anyway ... despite all the "oldies", we did have a good time, spent time with some other visitors and we greatly enjoyed the history of the Island, the lovely scenery and especially the friendly service and wecome from everyone we came into contact with....

Hi Kylie, A big thank you for persuading us to go to
Wilson Island! It was just a paradise on this earth. We saw lots of turtles as well as a whale. And of course, let’s not forget the birds and fish. The weather was magnificent every day. There was us and Norman & Mary (who you organised too). We were the “old married couples”. And then there were FOUR pairs of honeymooners!! But everyone got along well.
Heath is a great cook and Jacinta is a gem. They couldn’t do enough for us. We liked that tent right on the beach. I will send you photos later.

Daydream Island holiday went - it was fabulous! The kids all had a great time - we had a great family room- 2 interconnecting right next to spa/child care and restaurant.
The child care was great for Maddy who is 4 but my 8 year old son was a bit beyond what they had going at the time.My 8 year old daughter liked the child care even though there was no-one her age, because it was very craft based. We did quite a few of the extra activities .And we had superb weather. We are actually thinking about going same time next year.
The only annoying thing was the jetstar flights which didn't really co-incide with ferry times- but even that was OK. ( if you recall I organized those separately anyway) Are there any better connecting flights? I noticed Virgin also fly to Hamilton. How far in advance do we need to book to request the same or similar rooms- we were in 2148 which was downstairs - so the kids could run out on to the grass and hammocks which was great too! Hello Tina, We thoroughly enjoyed our few days on
Lizard Island. Everything went very smoothly. I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of your booking and documentation especially taking into account the very short notice I gave you.
Guidance I am an Amex Platinum card holder which gives us over 70s free travel and medical insurance (important for overseas travel). I therefore gave them first chance to book Lizard but they could not come up with the accommodation or the dates. I then found you in Google with excellent results and I hope I will be able to book again with you in the future.
This was our fifth visit to Lizard but first for nearly 20 years since the enlargements. For your info the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the room excellent and the resort as delightful as ever.
The food was varied. A couple of desserts and entrees were mouth watering, but the two main fish courses were rather poor with the smallest imaginable serves of fish cooked hard and dry. Other guests remarked similarly. The food was certainly not five star but then we have to realise it is a remote island.. Hope this feed back is of some use for you." Orion Timor cruise was great and the weather was perfect. Everything was so professional and spotless, even the engine room floor - I did a tour true! I went on the cruise to shed some kilo's but with Serge Dansereau as guest chef it was impossible as it was one gourmet after another...
Anyway I had plenty of walks on the shore expeditions which helped. I was particularly impressed with the Tiwi visit and the pearl farm - I can't believe how easy it is to find giant pearls but then.... Pacific Princess Cruise Capetown to Sydney trip was not a big success. For the last 3 weeks of the cruise the sea was rough and it was very cold!! At one time we were in a Gale Force 9!! I managed to get in the pool once. There were many injuries on board and lots of smashed plates. Still, never mind. It was our choice and although we did not expect brilliant weather, we thought it would be better than that. Hi - We had a wonderful 10 day family holiday at
Rydges Reef Resort and had 4 two bedroom villas. We found the accomodation very clean and comfortable and the children loved the pools and surroundings and the kid's club. The shuttle bus into town was excellent, leaving the resort every 15 minutes up until mid night. The restaurants of the hotel and the curry house were of good quality at good prices. The only criticism that I could offer is that there were no screen doors or screens on any of the windows which restricted fresh air. We did not want to leave and will be back." Brampton, great weather and far too much food to pig out on. Snorkeled the safe 'fish bowl' to see heaps of fish and turtles but not much coral. To see coral, needed to take the special trips to outer reef.
Just one disappointing point... We arrived on a Wednesday and did a beeline to book in massage to release years of tension but they were booked out until after we were to leave on the Sunday morning. After some complaining we eventually had a combined 30 min session. Seems that people ring and book BEFORE they even arrive on the island Each daily activity sheet advertised their massage services BUT... Noumea though - we didn't arrive until 4.00pm and everything closed by 6.00pm - it would have been nice to have the day there and thought it was strange for P&O to schedule it that way. Hi Gayle We had a FANTASTIC
Pacific Sky trip!! The food was fabulous and the entertainment was non-stop. Our girls had the best holiday of their lives, and for us it was great because we didnt have to worry about where or who they were with. Apart from boarding a day late- due to strong winds in Brisbane and the port closing and not letting the ship in on the Saturday, everything else was great.
Service from all staff could not of been better. Prices of drinks etc, was very reasonable too. Overall we had a ball! So thank you very much for all your help in planning / arranging our holiday! I'm sending a pic of the islanders of The Isle Of Pines dancing for us upon arrival! It was a great welcome to their land. All the females were presented with a headband made of leaves and flowers.
